The joint owner of five accountancy practices, Karen’s relationship with Salford City FC began when the old chairman, an acquaintance from the local pub, asked if she could use her experience to help them with their accounts.
This then led to a role as the club’s treasurer before being appointed as chairman in June 2013. Karen sits in on all meetings to ensure the new owners are brought fully up to speed with how things operate in the lower leagues.
She loves working closely with the managers, players and Gary Neville although probably doesn’t shout too loudly about being a Liverpool fan.
