Mum (Claire Skinner) has problems when her sister comes to visit

The last time Mum's sister, Auntie Angela, came to visit, it ended in disaster. Now she is back to show off the American therapist she has married, in the penultimate episode of the acclaimed comedy series.

Dad is determined to avoid a major incident as they all go out to dinner. But Ben tells everyone about his sex education class; Karen puts Auntie Angela's husband straight on therapy; and then there is an even bigger problem between Mum and Dad.

Autistic Superstars, a two-part documentary series with a unique event at its heart, follows a group of young autistic people with a passion for music, as they prepare for what could be the biggest night of their lives.

Fronted by Reggie Yates, the documentaries follow a cast of young people aged between 11 and 23 during the build up to a one-off performance.

The first film will introduce the cast from the UK and US, revealing their established or untapped talent. Through the build up, training and mentoring for the public event, the film will reveal the hurdles, conflicts and personal triumphs faced by these young people, and the professionals and relatives that care for them, as they prepare for the big night.

These young people from across the autistic spectrum have exceptional musical talents but, behind the stage curtain, everyday life poses many challenges for them and their families. Creative expression helps give them more freedom to communicate with the world around them.

The documentary offers an insight into the lives of each cast member, revealing their daily struggles and triumphs, and helping to shed light on a condition that affects more than 500,000 people in Britain.

The event is an opportunity for young, autistic people to show their talent and creativity on a high-profile stage, in an atmosphere that is sensitive to their condition.

This programme is part of a ground-breaking series of films about young people with autism. These warm and insightful programmes explore the complex lives of these young people as well as the challenges they face.
