Qualifying has so often proved prophetic at this circuit, with the driver on pole position going on to win the race for each of the past nine years. It was eventual world champion Jenson Button who snatched a last-gasp pole position last season, ahead of Sebastian Vettel, and both drivers have already won races in 2010.

Rugby League Challenge Cup Fifth Round

Clare Balding presents live coverage as Huddersfield host Warrington in the fifth round of the Challenge Cup. The two teams met in the final at Wembley last year with the Wolves winning 25-16 to claim the famous trophy for the first time since 1974. But the Giants have strengthened their squad since then and, led by "Man of Steel" Brett Hodgson, will be looking to make the most of their home advantage.

Twenty more plucky Brits head to the Argentinean capital for a madcap scramble across the world's most ridiculous obstacle course, as Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram preside over another frantic race for glory.

A rock singer, a police officer and an air sea rescue helicopter pilot are among those who line up to tackle not only the infamous Red Balls but also a brand-new challenge and one of the toughest ever to feature on the show: the Rings Of Fire. Contestants must possess a fearsome grip and exceptional monkey swing if they are to make it across all 16 rings and from one platform to another.

The rest of the course takes no prisoners either. The Super Walk Of Shame manages to outwit Alex, a potholer, who just can't help going underground, while the Sucker Punch does for Mike, a professional wrestler. But the biggest surprise of all comes when one competitor sets the fastest time to date on the Qualifier.

This week's trip to Crash Mountain is one of the fastest and most frantic ever seen, with six survivors making it through to a series debut for The Dread Mill.

The final three survivors make it to the Wipeout Zone in another tense and terrifying finale, where the result defies both gravity and logic.

Dessicated corpses, terror in the canal and a visit to the sinister House of Calvierri – the Doctor takes Amy and Rory for a romantic mini-break, as the Tardis touches down once again.

But 16th-century Venice is not as it should be. The city has been sealed to protect it from the Plague, although Rosanna Calvierri may have other plans...

Andrew Lloyd Webber and host Graham Norton continue their search for a new West End star, and the tension mounts for the remaining potential Dorothys as the series reaches the quarter-final.

The panel of experts – Sheila Hancock, Charlotte Church and John Partridge –continue to dispense their expert advice, alongside Andrew, to pick out the highs and lows of each performance, as the search for a brand new Dorothy to fill the ruby red slippers continues.

The remaining Dorothys take to the stage once again as they perform to impress the judges and the viewers at home. The search also continues for a Toto to accompany Dorothy on her journey through Oz.

In a change to the usual format, this evening’s episode will show one girl going home, as it’s a weekend of double elimination – when six potential Dorothys become four. The public have the chance to vote for their favourite girl’s performance before Andrew must decide which Dorothy will go home – tonight. The phone lines will then re-open, and viewers can vote for their chosen Dorothy. Those results will be announced in Over The Rainbow – Results tomorrow.

It's a day of reckoning for May (Laura Aikman)

It's a day of reckoning for May and Adam as they are brought face to face with the past, as the hospital drama continues.

May's guilt over betraying, and then deserting, Yuki is starting to overwhelm her and haunts her every moment. When Yuki is finally found, he has been living rough and is dehydrated and too disoriented to communicate. His friends can only watch helplessly. May then opens an envelope of white powder, sparking a suspected anthrax alert which causes the ED to be shut down.

Trapped in resus is Jimmy, a seven-year-old boy who has been hit by a car. The driver is Tina, a woman who is determined to avenge the death of her own daughter who was murdered as a schoolgirl by Jimmy's mother, Anna. Thrown into turmoil, Anna's husband rejects her but Anna is desperate for forgiveness. When Jimmy takes a turn for the worst, only Tina holds the key to his survival.

Also trapped in the lockdown, May looks on as Yuki lies prone and uncommunicative. Faced with the human results of her betrayal, she finally finds the courage to own up to her duplicity – but she may have alienated Yuki, and everyone else, for good.

Meanwhile, Adam's grief resurfaces and his trauma at Harry's death is brought into sharp focus. And it looks as though Charlie might become a grandparent after all.

Laura Aikman plays May, Tristan Gemmill plays Adam, Will Sharpe plays Yuki, Tessa Peake-Jones plays Tina, Chloë Howman plays Anna and Derek Thompson plays Charlie.

The biggest party of the year gives Alex a chance to cause chaos, in the third omnibus edition of Â鶹Éç Switch's fast-paced multi-platform drama about British teenage life.

Olive and Frankie have to be at the party but must first sneak out past Toni. It also remains to be seen whether Cameron really is going to ask Marla out.

Â鶹Éç Two delves into the world of the Rock 'n' Roll Band

From the first time they play live, to their dying day, rock 'n' roll bands are loved by millions of people who keep a special place in their hearts for their favourite groups and musicians.

As this series continues to investigate what makes the perfect rock 'n' roll band and to dissect the traditional band line-up, Â鶹Éç Two delves into the world of the guitarist.

The documentary explores the relationship between musician and instrument – from how it's held and played, to how it can be used in the battle to steal attention away from the lead singer. It explores the aesthetics behind guitar playing and how an improvised solo can make a great hit, instantly transforming the guitarist into a musical hero, worshipped like no other member of the band.

However flamboyant the stage moves, however gaudy the get-up and however gravity-defying the hair-dos, what makes or breaks any band is written on the first line of the guitarist's job description: they need to be the ultimate riff-master.

The guitarist is often also the writer of the group and this programme highlights the constant pressure placed upon such figures to churn out the hits and investigates the impact this has on the relationships between band mates.

Narrated by Mark Radcliffe, the documentary features contributions from Jeff Beck, Johnny Marr, Mick Jones, Wilko Johnson, Slash, Tony Iommi, Richie Sambora, Lindsey Buckingham and Andy Summers, among others.

I'm In A Rock 'n' Roll Band!, a multi-platform project featured on Â鶹Éç Two, Â鶹Éç Radio 2 and bbc.co.uk, dissects the traditional band and looks at what makes each of the individual members tick. It culminates in a live studio show in June, in which industry experts discuss their favourite rock 'n' roll musicians and create the ultimate fantasy band.
