DCI Jim Keats (Daniel Mays) is nearing the end of his report on DCI Gene Hunt

DCI Jim Keats has almost finished his report on DCI Gene Hunt and his team but he's still pushing DI Alex Drake to find out what really happened to Sam Tyler, as the timeslip police drama set in the Eighties reaches its penultimate episode.

When reports come in of a disturbance at an African National Congress (ANC) illegal drinking den, Gene goes in, all guns blazing.

The men at the club dismiss the disturbance as nothing, but DI Ray Carling spots blood on the floor and discovers a dead body, leading Gene into a murder investigation.

With the ANC members sticking together and claiming that none of them saw a thing, Gene interrogates a young girl, Tsitsi. It soon seems he's found his killer but the ANC group leader, Tobias, can't stand by and watch the terrified youngster be deported and confesses to the killing himself.

Gene and Alex see through Tobias's lies but attempting to discover the truth leads them into a world of illegal immigration and terrorism.

DCI Jim Keats is played by Daniel Mays, DCI Gene Hunt by Philip Glenister, DI Alex Drake by Keeley Hawes, DI Ray Carling by Dean Andrews, Tsitsi by Estella Daniels and Tobias by Lucian Msamati.

Ashes To Ashes is simulcast on the Â鶹Éç HD channel – the Â鶹Éç's High Definition channel, available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.

How To Live A Simple Life Ep 2/3

Anglican priest Peter Owen Jones explores the simple life
Anglican priest Peter Owen Jones explores the simple life

Anglican priest Peter Owen Jones leaves his home comforts and throws himself at the mercy of complete strangers as he continues his search for a more simple and meaningful life.

Peter is trying to live life by the rule of 13th-century saint, Francis of Assisi. This says that Franciscan Brothers shouldn't touch money. In his self-imposed poverty, Peter survives on bartering and self-sufficiency, but while his new lifestyle brings him closer to nature and people, it's not close enough for him. Something is missing.

Peter goes to meet a Franciscan friar in Canterbury, who shows him where he's going wrong. Peter has become too self-sufficient; he's living in a bubble protected by the care and compassion of his friends and parishioners. He'll only find the answer to a simple life if he leaves the comfort of his home and throws himself at the mercy of complete strangers – just as St Francis did.

Realising this is something he needs to do, Peter sets off on a two-week road trip with little more than the clothes he is wearing, begging for food and accommodation as he goes. How will strangers react to Peter? Often rejected, always humbled, Peter discovers new things about himself, and other people. But does he get any closer to learning the secret to a simple life?
