I loved robot wars. It would be nice to see a new batch of more sophisticated robots. A lot of those we used to see were basically radio controlled roller skates with claws on them.
Imagine an live interactive one a viewer could control from home with a tablet app.
Just a thought.
Haven't we got more than enough man-made wars going on all over the planet with heart-rending consequences without creating (let alone televising for our entertainment) robot wars as well? What will happen when these robots become self-aware? Cameron knows.
What will happen when these robots become self-aware? Ìý
They'll opt to watch something decent on telly instead.

Robot Cooking Bake-Off Wars probably.
They won't watch TV, as they will be too busy uploading double polaroids of themselves to the web

I read that a small group of already self aware bots have complained to Ofcom about the terrible portrayal of robots in a recent episode of Dr Who. They say it showed them as lumbering, unthinking, bringers of toasty evil incapable of tidying away the family silverware.
And they would never do purple death rays, dahling.

There is a new book out about robots.
Its written by Anne-Droid.
Look out for that.
Oh, it's just oh so easy for the soi-disant intelligentsia to scoff and belittle the threat, isn't it, eh?
But when the vacuum cleaners have taken over the world and are implanting giant saw blades into our head and replacing our feet with wheels before making us fight each other in series 7 of "Human Wars", don't come running to me.

Vacuums would never do that. They love us....in fact they are a real sucker for us.
They may pretend to love us, but they're already reproducing independently and forming into threatening gangs:
This thread is starting to look like bullying of the OP now.

That's a thought, Robot Wars comes back...and they get celebs controlling them. You can imagine it.
Roland Rivron takes on Sandi Toksvig. Perish the thought.

The problem with Robot Wars in the end was when Tornado was allowed to make modifications, ie building a cage around the robot, thus putting it out of reach of Razor's pincers and bigger than the pit, making it unrecognisable.

what would you do if they brought back robot wars?
Echo a call to bring back the Great Egg Race, as long as they keep everything in the studio (no massive Scrapheap Challenge builds).
A good mix of British Heath Robinson and certainly an entertaining way to show off some science.
A return of Robot Wars could be fun, but how about more categories rather than simply fighting. Sprint challenges, endurance etc. I am sure there is a robot world cup, why not go for something like that

A robot version of Strictly Come Dancing would be an improvement, as we would be spared the tedious dialogue and embarrasing interviews.

With all the technological advances since robot wars was last on a new series could be fantastic.
Maybe have real programmed robots rather than radio controlled machines?
You could even have drones in aerial combat.

EastEnders, most (but not all) reality shows, you been framed, and many other shows that i forget because they all work in the same way you watch other they make other people miserable to make the audicne
e.g EastEnders is a show which shows you that be happy you life could be like this and you been framed is people falling over for you enjoyment
i hate this becosue i always believed in the saying
"a person who laughers at him self
is stronger then a person who have to laugh at others"
i find it sometimes sick that people can only be happy when they see other people in pain
