The Woodland Trust, the UK鈥檚 leading woodland conservation charity, look after 1,000 woods in the UK including nine woods in and around Greater Manchester.

Nature detectives

The Woodland Trust also runs a nature club for kids called Nature Detectives with lots of activities both indoors and indoors.

There's a special winter guide of things to make and do, including hunt sheets to identify all kinds of plants and animals.

And if you can't get out, there are dozens of wildlife puzzles, craft guides and colouring sheets to download at home for eager young minds. And they're all free too.
