Seeing The Light
Thrown in to the limelight in 2006 when debut album Fur and Gold was nominated for the Mercury Prize, Natasha Khan has got a reputation as a one-woman wonder – writing, singing, playing most of her instruments and creating an eccentric fantastical world in which her music inhabits.
New album The Haunted Man, preceded by single Laura, has been hyped as the record that has cast off her demons. After Two Suns experimentations with alter egos and fancy dress, The Haunted Man is a more stripped down affair in both music and artwork, with The Guardian calling it ‘an album about England, a love letter to Hertfordshire.’
We can’t wait to have Ms Khan perform her mesmerising show live for Lauren, channelling the likes of Bjork and Joanna Newsom, but very much remaining her own unique and revered talent.
