Favourite bits from the show so far

Tris Cotterill | 16:11 UK time, Friday, 9 April 2010

Hope you all enjoyed last night's show? We grabbed Russell just before it went out yesterday to ask him @shelleysuxx's question sent via Twitter 'what's been russell's favourite story from the series so far?' and @bathbomb's question 'how did you get on with your siblings when you were all kids?'

A few weeks ago you had a brilliant clip about funny guy who slowly creeps into the background of Â鶹Éç news bulletins (think is was outside Â鶹Éç after "Dick" Griffin on QT)... Well he keeps appearing in Â鶹Éç new bulletins. Saw him again last night and this morning. Is very funny material.... I am sure he is in lots of bulletins, and he always tries to look like he has accidentally got into shot...
Can't watch any news bulletins without looking out for him like a "where's wally" game.

    You ran a feature last series where you kept showing a guy who gets in the back ground of news pieces. He's done it again heres the link to the footage;

I missed it on thursday (Oh, the shame!) so had to catch the Extra. GREAT show, "Two Tiggers One Cup!?" Was a legendary joke. As well as "He's so cool, I'd let him bang my mum." I for one, would love to see Ed Bryne as the stand up comedian for Good News one time.

Next week, Russell SO needs to talk about some of the hilarious party policies, such as the Green Party's, "Decriminlalise Prostitution" and BNP's "Force schools to hold daily Christian assemblies." I'm sure there's more.

Thanks, Russell you're a legend in the stand up business, keep it up! :D

    Hi Russell,
great to see you at the warm-up gig tonight. Apologies for the heckling but Iguanas down the road had 241 cocktails!
Re: Sexting for old people... Not that they got phones for that purpose (least I hope not!) but when my parents 1st got a mobile not only was it all in capital letters but they took 4 months to figure out where the space button was SOYOUDGETMESSAGESLIKETHISANDHAVETOWORKOUTWHATONEARTHTHEYWANTEDTOSAY.. (I'm sure you and your team can figure out some misfortunate combinations in this vein as you're far wittier than I am!)
Another friend of theirs is an English teacher and couldn't understand why everyone was throwing random punctuation into their texts... (AKA smiley faces etc)
anyway thanks for the feel-good fix for the week.
    keep up the good work!
    :)

Question for Russell: What is the best, and worst thing about being a comedian?

This is a really strange story about a school in America where the deputy headmaster used taser guns on students after making them sign waivers agreeing to it. However, the students refute that fact and say that they used to go up to the deputy and specifically ask him to taser them. Really odd!

Also, this little gem where a man in America has threatened to bring down a plane with the power of his mind. He then had to be restrained.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for mentioning the post pals website on last nights show. I was so touched when it came on that the first thing I did today was look it up. It is such an inspiring website and the guestbook comments are on overload today saying thanks to the Russell Howard Good News show they were made aware of the site - so you should be very proud!
I have a parcel all wrapped up and sat waiting to be posted out to a pal tomorrow and will make this a regular in my routine!
I have also set up a facebook group to try and spread the word and many others have too thanks to the show!

On a recent show you ended by showing a clip of an M.E sufferer who had created a website where people can send letters and e-mails to sick children. Would it be possible to forward me that website address please?
