  • Comment number 12.

The silly American girl who moaned about the Japanese students ringing on their mobile phones about this 'tsunami THING' should replace Brian True-May as producer on Midsomer Murders as she's equally as clueless.

I just knew Sky News putting the surfing ad on in the break would get on!

Epic find: 麻豆社 Breakfast news on Monday 21st March, talking about Twitter's 5th birthday the presenter (Suzanna?) accidentally calls it a 'micro-dogging' not 'micro-blogging' website. Would make a classic Good News sketch!

  • Comment number 25.

Great series so far but there is one thing missing..........Bring back shocked cat. The show is not the same without the shocked cat

  • Comment number 26.

  • Comment number 33.

    Hi Team

maybe this is a genuine good news story that could be included at the end of the show?

It's about a girl born with significant disabilities from birth as a result of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster - she was separated from her mother as an infant shortly after but was adopted and brought up by a british family. Mother and child thought they would never see each other again but this is the story of how her birth mother found her and spent a week together in the UK where the mother also found out for the first time her daughter now had a loving brother too:

    Sam

  • Comment number 34.

I think for your next show he should have his brother as stand up on saterday night for a laugh he could talk about his too small condom

  • Comment number 35.

Just thought id show you that.. made me laugh so much :'') (u might of shown it on a show but i cant remember) :L xx

  • Comment number 37.

Hi Russel i think i have a good story idea for the its not all doom and gloom section.
I read in the paper about Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes from TLC. This year was the 9th anniversary of her death and i read that she died when in the middle of making a youth center for poor and homeless children in Honduras south America. Even thou she has been dead for 9 years her charity The Lisa lopes foundation has still been helping poor children and families all throughout the world and also built the school in Honduras. Left eyes money from her music career also went to building the school and much of her money has been donated to numerous charity's including the sickle cell anemia charity.

  • Comment number 38.

Russell always talks about his brother in the shows, he should bring his brother in on episode :D

  • Comment number 39.

Heh...just thought if you want a funny song for the show, check out Witch Doctor by Cartoons:-

  • Comment number 40.

Hey Russell, was it just me or did you also notice during the Royal Wedding, that when Catherine and William were sat down and the camera kept pointing at them during the songs and the speeches that Prince William kept playing thumb wars by himself while sat there? lol

  • Comment number 41.

Catch it, Kill it, Bin Laden it...

  • Comment number 42.

    Because cats are hilarious:

  • Comment number 43.

Hi Russell I saw this on you tube and I thought it would make good for a its not all doom and gloom piece It is about a guy call Jesse Billauer he was paralysed In an accident in the waves and now he has set up a charity called life rolls on trying to disabled people into the water as a way to over come their disability.

  • Comment number 44.

Russell, I'm not sure if you CAN use this story or not but I know it definately made me laugh. It was in today's (13th July) Metro.

Apparently an armed robber in Russia was taken down by a female shop owner and then held and used as a sex slave for 3 days. Then when she let him go, he reported it and they were both arrested.

I hope you can use this as I think it's hilarious.

  • Comment number 46.

i think this video would be perfect for good news its a video from the tropfest (short film festival in australia) its so simple and beautiful and will touch many of peoples hearts especially as cancer is a major thing in the UK it shows the strong power of love and family and how we should tell people what they mean to us befor there gone. i kno you prob wont even look at it but trust me its worth it at least just concider it please

  • Comment number 56.

Just watched your show in my science lesson at school today and everyone loved it. I'm pretty sure that if someone said "Russell Howard isn't even funny!" in my class, they would be immediately kicked out of the school and disowned by their family and friend! Better to keep quiet...
Can't wait to watch the next series in science when I get back to school after Christmas break! Merry Christmas and a happy New year!

heres a good news story i think you might like

Destructoid.com ran a story a couple months ago about a young man named Carlo whose friend, Michael John Mamaril, passed away a month before due to cancer aged only 22. Both were big fans of Borderlands, and so Carlo sent an email to Gearbox asking for a short eulogy to be read by one of the game's characters, Claptrap.

Gearbox not only followed up with the request, but they also decided to include Michael as a NPC in the upcoming Borderlands 2.

You can hear the eulogy read by Claptrap and read the original story at.

What a good thing that the series is back as I have found a wonderful online video for a section on the economy or "It's not all bad". NEO Property is an estate agency on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia and in November of last year, they placed an online video advert about the property on YouTube which recieved 76,000 views and enabled the house to be sold in less than four weeks (and I can think you can see why)

  • Comment number 61.

you need to watch this clip haha!

I鈥檓 writing to you because I have an amazing friend, doing something really inspiring, but who needs your support.

My friend Stuart intends to try and ride a motorbike over 170mph and break a land-speed record; he鈥檚 also disabled and totally blind.

Ten years ago an exceptionally talented, seasoned road & race biker cracked a few lame jokes with the paramedics trying to save his life.
A van jumping lanes at an Edinburgh junction ended up with half a biker through the sunroof & the other half through the windscreen.
After sliding down the van, hitting the ground & one futile attempt to crawl to his beloved bike (now spinning it's self to Australia) both halves of that biker were folded onto a board & taken to hospital.
That biker is my very good friend - Stuart Gunn, or 'T-Bone' as I have always, and loved him.

In the years following his accident, Stuart has proven to be as determined, driven & positive in recovery, as he ever was on a bike. He's showing people with disabilites (and abilities) jsut what they can do.
His intention to smash this world record simply reflects Stuart's approach to fundraising for four charities close to his heart.

Stuart will be riding in aid of the four charities and has support from the RNIB for his daring venture, but he鈥檚 looking for extra publicity, sponsorship, contacts for someone who can help find a suitable track, or anything else you can do to help him.

    Read about the story here:

And here's the 'Raspberry Ripple Racing' website - for more info:

I thank you for reading and apprecciate your time.
