  1. try

TRY: Leeds 24-0 Wiganpublished at 69 mins

    Ash Handley

Ash Handley gets it down again and it's given! Leeds are going through to the Challenge Cup final!

Credit must go to Liam Sutcliffe, who offloaded to Handley having led Zak Hardaker away from him.

    Rhyse Martin misses the extras.

  2. NO TRYpublished at 68 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Ash Handley goes over as Leeds break out of nowhere.

Chris Kendall says no try and sends it to video ref Ben Thaler who, studying every possible angle, can't actually see if the ball is grounded and is forced to go with Kendall's initial call.

No sooner does play restart do Leeds win another set of six in a dangerous area.

  3. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Tommy Leuluai sends a kick towards the try-line as Wigan make a rare break upfield but his kick hits the post and cannons in to touch.

It's still not going their way and they've not looked likely to work into Leeds' half for a while.

  4. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Robert Lui sends a dangerous grubber kick into Wigan's in-goal area and puts them under a fair bit of pressure.

Leeds' assured performance continues. They're content to keep their superior position in this game rather than scoring for the sake of it.

  5. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Joe Shorrocks spills the ball after a promising spell of play from Wigan which almost sees them cross the line for a first try of the game.

Symbolic of their performance today, that.

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

If you're just joining us, this was the catalyst for a dominant first half for Leeds as Rhyse Martin converted his own try to send them 8-0 up against Wigan.

So far, Wigan are showing little in response to the display that saw Leeds take a 20-point lead at the break.

  7. NO TRYpublished at 56 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

This has been a special performance from Leeds. In this second half they've looked happy to sit back and let Wigan control the possession.

In their first realistic offensive move of the half, Konrad Hurrell crosses over but video referee Ben Thaler judges Luke Gale was offside in the build-up.

Surely that would have been game over if that try was cleared.

  8. Postpublished at 55 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

This is still not going Wigan's way despite having the better half of the field in this second period.

Leeds are making it hard work for their opponents to make any sort of significant ground.

This is a special defensive display from the Rhinos.

"It is a day where nothing is sticking for Wigan. They thought they had a try and it would have been a cracker."

  10. NO TRYpublished at 50 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Finally Wigan touch down through Dom Manfredi but referee Chris Kendall, despite giving a try, sends it to video referee Ben Thaler.

In the build up it would appear that Tommy Leuluai spills the ball and knocks on before it's handed off to Manfredi.

That's a shame as Wigan looked in decent shape for once.

It's been a while since I've seen Leeds look some comfortable and assured.

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Jackson Hastings works a kick across field just before the turnover as Wigan valiantly try to get off the mark.

Bevan French eventually works onto it and tries to kick and chase but kicks straight back to Leeds who make a break of their own.

"First you have to think, are you going to get 22 points? I think Adrian Lam will be confident of that because they have points in them.

"The challenge is they have to improve massively. They have to kick the ball better than they have been doing and have still got to defend their own line in relation o making a comeback.

  15. Postpublished at 43 mins

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

Wigan need to have a cracker in the first five minutes of this second half if they are to have any chance of getting back into this game.

In the first half we saw Leeds play the conditions - and wind - perfectly but can Wigan do the same as they attack the same half of the field?

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

We are back under way in the second half of this Challenge Cup semi-final.

Wigan came out first. Penny for the thoughts of Adrian Lam right now.

They've got their work cut out if they are to overturn Leeds' 20-point advantage.

"Field position and possession are crucial when it is weather like this.

"I actually thought we saw Wigan cope with some good defence, but ultimately Leeds were so dominant there.

    Leeds 20-0 Wigan

A dominant half for Leeds comes to an end.

Incredibly both sides rested almost their entire squads in midweek and come into today's games pretty fresh but Wigan look lethargic and Leeds look inspired.

Tom Briscoe's try on the stroke of half-time well and truly puts them in control of this semi-final.
