The Hundred women's competition, Headingley
Southern Brave 100-8 (100 balls): Tryon 25 (24); Smith 2-24
Northern Superchargers 100-7 (100 balls): Davidson-Richards 27 (22); Bell 4-11
Match tied - both teams take one point each
Northern Superchargers and Southern Brave recorded the first tie in The Hundred women's competition in a low-scoring thriller at Headingley.
The Superchargers required three to win off the final delivery, but batter Kate Cross could only scamper through for two after driving to long-on.
In a match that was a repeat of last year's final, defending champions Brave lost wickets at regular intervals and could only post 100-8, with Chloe Tryon top-scoring with 25.
The Superchargers cruised through much of their chase and needed just 19 from their final 20 balls.
But Lauren Bell, who finished with her tournament-best figures of 4-11, took the crucial wicket of Alice Davidson-Richards (27 off 22) and conceded only six runs off her final five deliveries.
Given Superchargers' advantage through much of the chase, Brave will perhaps be the happier with the result, though both teams remain without a win in this season's competition after losing their openers.

What else do you need to know?
The previous closest women's Hundred match was a one-run win for Manchester Originals over Trent Rockets on Monday.
There has been one tie in the men's competition - between Oval Invincibles and Welsh Fire in 2023.
Three of the Southern Brave's wickets came from run outs as their batting line-up struggled to keep the scoreboard ticking.
Cross finished 10 not out off 11 balls, but faced five dot balls inside the final 20 deliveries.
Bell ended the match with figures of 4-11 off her 20 balls - bowling an incredible 13 dot balls and not conceding a single boundary.

'That's what you play for' - what they said
Match hero Lauren Bell: "It was up and down that last over. I had a lot of adrenaline, but it was cool. That鈥檚 what you play for.
"It was about going ball by ball and seeing what player I was bowling to. Pace off was working on this pitch and then pace on.
"The ideal final ball was a straight yorker and I don't think I was far off. We probably should have looked at the field a little bit and had them a bit off the boundary but hindsight is lovely.
"We're on the board. We can start now!"
What is happening on Wednesday?
There is another Hundred double-header on Wednesday, with Trent Rockets facing Birmingham Phoenix at Trent Bridge (women's at 15:00 BST and men's at 18:35 BST).
Rockets' women were agonisingly beaten by one run by the Manchester Originals last time out, while the Phoenix are yet to win in this season's competition.
