David Lindo

A wildlife and birding expert known as The Urban Birder.

Previously Head of Membership at the British Trust for Ornithology, David is the author of countless articles on urban birds and writes for many websites, publications and magazines including the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. He also has a popular monthly urban birding column in Bird Watching Magazine and has written features for the award winning 麻豆社 Wildlife Magazine, Countryfile Magazine, Observer and Guardian.

David has featured on a whole host of shows in the UK including , , , and , Countrywise, Daybreak and The Alan Titchmarsh Show for ITV, as well as programmes for international TV networks.

His radio work is equally extensive, ranging from regular slots on 麻豆社 Radio 4 to other stations across the world. His first book, The Urban Birder was published in August 2011 and Look Up!, a guide to watching birds in urban areas, is due for publication in the spring of 2014.

David is currently a patron of Alderney Wildlife Trust, Birding For All and the Spitalfields City Farm. He is a fellow member of the International League of Conservation Writers, the founder of the Tower 42 Bird Study Group and is on the committee of The Friends Of Wormwood Scrubs.
