Kenneth Tindall

Choreographer

Kenneth is a freelance, award-winning choreographer, Artistic Director of Digital and Choreographer in Residence for Northern Ballet. Kenneth trained at Central School of Ballet, danced with The Israel Ballet, K-Ballet and Northern Ballet. In 2009 he was promoted to Principal dancer with Northern Ballet, having represented the company at the 13th International Ballet Festival in Beijing. He retired from the stage in 2015.

Kenneth started choreographing professionally in 2011 and has received much acclaim from audiences and critics alike. He was awarded the Production Prize at the 26th International Choreographic Competition in Hannover with his debut work Project #1. He has been nominated for several high-profile awards including Best Young Choreographer at the Taglioni European Ballet awards and Best Classical Choreographer and Emerging Artist at the Critics Circle National Dance Awards. Kenneth became the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement in a New Dance Production Award at the Broadway World UK Awards in 2017 and was nominated for Best Classical Choreography at the National Dance Awards for a second time in his career. The popularity of his first full-length ballet Casanova led to its filming and broadcast on SkyArts and Digital Theatre, the world’s leading digital platform for arts. Kenneth is thrilled to be working with the young talent that has been discovered through the 麻豆社 Young Dancer competition.
