The Battle of the Little Bighorn
The Battle of the Little Bighorn is an iconic event in American history. We see how it is remembered in the USA today through a pageant and re-enactment which looks at the background to the battle and and its consequences. The Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 promised the Black Hills of Dakota to the Lakota Sioux but the treaty was broken, primarily because of the discovery of gold.
