Cerys hand-picks you an eclectic Sunday soundtrack with West African balafon player Kimi Djabat茅 performing live in session.

Kimi Djabat茅 is from a village in Guinea-Bissau which is known for it's griots, hereditary singer-poets which go back hundreds of years. Coming from a family of musicians, Kimi was given his first balafon at the age of three and began performing at weddings when he was eight. He studied the kora a few years later and plays a range of percussion. Now based in Lisbon, he released his fourth album Dindin this year blending Afro-Portuguese rhythms with Afrobeat grooves, electric desert blues and hints of Afro-Latin swing. Kimi is in the UK to perform at the Africa Oye festival in Liverpool, the UK鈥檚 largest free celebration of African music and culture.

This week Cerys shares her podcast recommendations which include the new series of Get Birding with Kwesia aka City Girl In Nature and Jen Cloher's Everybody's Trying To Find Their Way Home.
