Cerys catches up with DJ, composer and producer Afrodeutsche ahead of her new composition premiere at Manchester International Festival 2023. Afrodeutsche blends various genres from contemporary classical, techno, house and electro. Her brand new work is performed by Manchester Camerata 鈥� one of the UK鈥檚 most adventurous orchestras.

Also, Risham Syed tells us about the inspirations behind the poetry project Each Tiny Drop, which opened the festival and honours the human connection to water. Risham is based in Lahore, Pakistan, and her work often traces changes in our cities. For this project, she's focusing on the Medlock in Manchester.

Expect this served up alongside the usual eclectic mix of handpicked records chosen by Cerys as she raids her collection for her favourite vintage sounds and shares her new discoveries.
