Bath Mozartfest 2022: Prokofiev and Beethoven

The Pavel Haas Quartet play Prokofiev's String Quartet No 2 in F, and pianist Simon Trp膷eski pairs Beethoven with Prokofiev's towering Piano Sonata No 7 at Bath Mozartfest 2022.

Two works by Prokofiev feature in today's highlights from Bath Mozartfest 2022. Recorded in the Georgian splendour of the Assembly Rooms in Bath, renowned Czech ensemble, the Pavel Haas quartet perform Prokofiev's folk inspired second string quartet. After a set of variations by Beethoven, virtuoso Macedonian pianist Simon Trp膷eski plays Prokofiev's fiery seventh piano sonata, the second in a trilogy of works written during World War II.
