A Greater Good

Episode 32 of 52

Medical drama series. Michael tries to impress Sir Fraser's representative. Sacha realises he must toughen up to run AAU. Ric asks Malick to look out for Elizabeth.

Michael is under enormous pressure to show Angus Farrell, Sir Fraser's right-hand man, that Plastics is running smoothly. When a vulnerable patient has their operation stopped halfway through, it begins to look like the Plastic vision is fast disappearing. Michael's discovery that Sunil has been using his own company through which to sell cheap implants to the hospital doesn't exactly help matters. Michael finds himself facing a moral dilemma about whether to blow Sunil's secret. However the glory of performing incredible surgical feats in theatre, and impressing both Angus and his colleagues, is enough to silence Michael. He and Sunil are now most definitely the Plastics team.

Sacha struggles to control his team as Frieda and Chrissie become increasingly frustrated with each other. Frieda believes that Sacha is giving Chrissie preferential treatment and doesn't hold back in suggesting he needs to get tougher. Things come to a head and Sacha decides the only way forward is to get Chrissie transferred to Keller.

Ric asks Malick to keep an eye on Elizabeth following the death of her grandmother. However, when he and Dan start to argue over the treatment of a patient, he loses sight of his task and Elizabeth is caught in the crossfire of their disagreement. Ric is less than pleased to discover Elizabeth crying on the stairs and demands to speak with Malick and Dan to find out what's been going on. Malick is humble enough to apologise while Dan doesn't openly accept any form of responsibility.
