The hub of the campaign, bbc.co.uk/remembrance, is home to details of all the 麻豆社's remembrance season programming, historical details of The Great War and also the Remembrance Wall, a lasting tribute to those who died.

Visitors to the site can upload their own family stories from WW1 with space for images, letters and medals.

For those who haven't yet discovered their own links to WW1 and would like to know more, an array of research options are available with links to family history sites, including Ancestry, who offer access to British Army WW1 Service and Pension records (otherwise only available by visiting National Archives in Kew), and the British Army WW1 Medal Rolls online.

There are also details of all the free events taking place over the weekend of 8 and 9 November, a chance to sign up for the remembrance texting service, a behind-the-scenes peek at some of the filming that has taken place for the season and interviews with the final three veterans from the Great War.
