麻豆社 SO PLUS FAMILY is a series of free interactive, family-friendly workshops which introduce the music of the 麻豆社 SO concerts at the Barbican, including a 拢5 ticket offer (plus booking fee*) for the evening concert.
Tchaikovsky鈥檚 stunning Sixth Symphony is a must-hear masterpiece, overfowing with great tunes and dramatic power. 鈥楶ath茅tique鈥� means 鈥榝ull of feeling鈥� (not 鈥榩athetic鈥�!), and when he was writing it Tchaikovsky called this 鈥榯he best of all my works鈥�. Mozart鈥檚 sunny Violin Concerto No. 4 was written when he was still a teenager, and Danish composer Nielsen wasn鈥檛 much older when he wrote his fascinating First Symphony.

Suitable for newcomers and music fans alike. If you play an instrument, bring it along as there will be an opportunity for you to join in. For families or school groups with children between the ages of 8 and 16. At least one of your group must be aged 16 or under. These concerts are not recommended for children under the age of 8.
