Trio of Welsh artists on show at Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw
The works of three very different Welsh artists - Elfyn Lewis, Gareth Parry and Niki Pilkington - will go on show in a feast for the senses this weekend at Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw in Llanbedrog, north west Wales.
should need no introduction. The Cardiff based artist, originally from Porthmadog in Gwynedd, has had a successful couple of years as he won the 2010 Welsh Artist of the Year award and picked up the gold medal for fine art at the National Eisteddfod in July 2009.

In this exhibition her work is focussed on her own unique portrayal of Welsh idioms and proverbs. This will be Pilkington’s first full exhibition following her graduation with a first class honours degree in Fashion Illustration from Ravensbourne Academy.
Meanwhile artist Gareth Parry has been exhibiting at Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw for over 10 years, and is considered by art critics to be one of the best oil painters in Wales. In fact, his first solo show at the exclusive Thackeray Gallery in London in October 2009 saw fans queuing for over 12 hours to buy his work.
The exhibition showing the work of these three artists opens on Sunday 23 January at 2pm, and then runs until Sunday 3 April 2011.
