Last week you may have heard listener Mark Tyler discussing his sister's efforts to make him a Christmas present.

"My sister made me a model of Jabba The Hut out of clay, it looks more like a green poo with a face. Jabba the Poo is currently in Essex and I am in Switzerland so please thank my sister Penny Tyler for sending the pictures to me."

at first i was going to say it's kind of cute in a perverse way.... but i'm looking at it again, and it's just plain terrifying looking!
Thanks, now i'm gonna have nightmares of that poo. :'(

Too late for RTTN, but this reminded me of my contribution. When I was about 6 I was into sewing and was also fascinated by my new baby brother and his milk requirements. One evening I hit upon the perfect present for my Mum - I would sew her a bra without any cups, just stitched rings of cloth through which the boobs could go for easy feeding. I described my project to my Nana enthusiastically and whatever she said must have been tacftful as I never made the bra but don't remember being too disappointed that my idea wasn't at the level of ingenuity I thought it was.

I love the Jabba poo. Who wouldn't want one of those?

Seeing this reminded me of the felt/button robot picture I made. Sadly I can't remember anything about it except it was a picture of a robot made of felt and buttons. I probably binned it but, if I ever find it, I'll send in a picture.

My mum used to babysit a couple of girls (yuk!) on Monday evenings, so I'd busy myself in my bedroom with parts of an old radio I'd dismantled, telling them that I was building a robot and occasionally exploding with 'GO AWAY! I'm trying to CONCENTRATE!' when they poked their heads around the door. Come to think of it, I still haven't finished it.
