Viking helmets
Description
This clip asks which of the two helmets shown was the one worn by Vikings, the metal one, which covers the warrior鈥檚 face, or the one with horns. The correct answer is the metal one, and not as traditionally thought the helmet with horns.

Students could vote on which of the two Viking helmets featured in the clip are historically accurate. What are the reasons for their selection?
Students could conduct further research into Viking helmets and armour, seeking out information about shape, decoration and materials. Students could use their research to design and make their own Viking helmet using instructions from 麻豆社 Hands on History - How to make your own Viking helmet. They could also make their own Viking shields out of layered cardboard or paper mache.
