On 22 January 2005 tens of thousands gathered in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium for a once-in-a-lifetime music concert in aid of the victims of the Indian Ocean earthquake, which had tragically struck just a month earlier.

Tsunami Relief Cardiff featured a diverse range of artists, including big Welsh names like Feeder, Aled Jones, Goldie Lookin' Chain, Charlotte Church, Katherine Jenkins and the Manic Street Preachers, all helping to raise a stunning £1.25 million.
Little known Cardiff band Camera started the set as soon as the doors opened, but it was Katherine Jenkins who started the show for television and internet audiences with renditions of with Amazing Grace, Caruso and You'll Never Walk Alone.
The concert was carried live by Â鶹Éç Radio Wales, and on UK digital television via the Â鶹Éç's 'red-button' service as well as being streamed online. Video highlights were available on the Â鶹Éç's website soon thereafter, and TV highlights were also broadcast on Â鶹Éç2 during the evening.
