The Admiral Big Weekend, held annually in Cardiff on the first weekend in August, is the UK's largest free outdoor music ferstival, attracting a quarter of a million people each year.

Having been one of the first festivals to put on Lostprophets back in 2001, the festival has put on both established names and up-and-coming Welsh acts.
The 2009 event continued in this tradition, featuring the likes of the Lightning Seeds and Welsh rockers Kids In Glass Houses, Attack! Attack! and The Joy Formidable.
2010's festival had its Friday night curated by the people behind the Sŵn Festival, featuring three Welsh acts. Feeder headlined on Sunday night.
