Snow showers overnight, bright start to the day, wind has dropped a bit since yesterday.

Monday
Cold windy day with occasional showers of hail and sleet heavier towards evening more of the rain.

Tuesday
Early morning cold wet and windy. occasional sleet showers till early afternoon, calmer and brighter towards sunset.

Wednesday
A milder day with light cloud cover and less wind, occasional light shower cloud clearing towards evening.

Cold frosty early morning, blue skies little wind, perfect winter's day, if there is such a thing? Good day for a walk up the back lane.

Bright start with heavy frost, fog patches developing as day progressed. Getting very dense towards evening.

Weather influence on garden wildlife

My pond is well frozen over towards the end of week so I turned on the air pump to clear the ice. If allowed to stay frozen over for long periods oxygen is depleted and toxins can build up in the water from rotting vegetation, this can kill the fish if left for too long.
