An excellent night for South and West Yorkshire.

Doncaster's promotion juggernaut picked up even more momentum with their emphatic victory at Colchester.

They are now fifth and only need a point from their trip to Gillingham to secure that play-off spot.

Bradford simply had to win, and they did, away to Barrow. They remain outsiders for the play-offs, but beat Newport at home and you just never know.

Barrow could have sealed their spot tonight. Not to be but they will have another chance at home to already promoted Mansfield on Saturday.

Colchester United could have secured League Two football for another season with a draw or win tonight.

But despite taking an early lead, a 4-1 defeat means Sutton United have a reprieve.

A draw or win will be enough for the U's again on Saturday at home to Crewe, if not they leave the door open for Sutton who must win at MK Dons and cause a four-goal swing in the goal difference.

Derby fans will sleep easier tonight than they might have done had Peterborough rattled up a big win in their game in hand at Cheltenham. The Rams remain in the box seat for automatic promotion on the final day while Posh must wait to see where the dust settles on the play-off race before they can plot a possible Wembley return.

Wycombe make the top 10 after their point at Cambridge tonight.

Only two of the top 10 cannot move places on the final day.
