This week clashes that broke out between supporters and opponents of India’s new citizenship amendment law has turned into rioting. The Â鶹Éç’s Yogita Limaye is in Delhi and reports on the deadliest religious violence India’s capital has seen in more than three decades.

In October 2019 President Trump withdrew American forces from Northern Syria – seemingly abandoning their Kurdish allies who had helped them in the war against both Islamic State and the Syrian Government. Days later Turkey took advantage of the power vacuum left by American troops to create a so called ‘buffer zone’ along the Syrian/Turkish boarder. Some 300,000 Kurdish people fled their home in the ensuing airstrikes, months later many attempted to return home, some never made it.
