Sian’s quickly settled into life in Parminster, working at the surgery where Gemma is practice manager and becoming an integral part of the team. She does, however, have the capacity to rub people up the wrong way – with a forceful personality and a tendency to say exactly what she’s thinking.

The move to Parminster is new start for Sian, but will she end up being a friend and ally to Gemma? Or another obstacle Gemma has to grapple with?

Sian Brooke has most recently been seen in the 麻豆社 miniseries Moorside. Earlier this year she played the role of Sherlock’s sister Eurus Holmes in Sherlock.

She has previously starred in ITV’s Lewis, as well as Channel 4’s Not Safe for Work and Man Down, among many others.

She has also appeared in numerous renowned theatrical productions, with the latest being Hamlet at the Barbican Centre, where she starred as Ophelia alongside Benedict Cumberbatch.
