Nafula
Nafula is passionate, tenacious, extremely loyal and very hard working.
Coming from a large family where she was often looking after her younger siblings, Nafula was always seen as dependable and resourceful. She supported her family but also took on the opportunity of assisting in a local medical clinic to gain experience. It was there that she discovered that working for an NGO was what she wanted to do.
She finds working as an aid worker very challenging. Witnessing the suffering, dealing with the overwhelming need for help and experiencing much trauma and death is devastating but Nafula sees her impact is important and it can be really rewarding.
She respects her colleagues, especially Kicki who she’s worked with for many years and finds really inspiring.
Yusra Warsama
Yusra is a performance poet, actor, writer and theatre practitioner. Her recent television credits include playing Khaali Osman in Critical, Vera, Dracula, Savage and Postcode.
Her film credits include The Huntsman: Winter’s War, The Last Days on Mars, My Brother the Devil and Stolen.
