Morocco's tourism industry recovering.
It was once Africa’s number one tourist city. But that was before Covid 19. The Moroccan city of Marrakesh , with its bustling souks, beautiful mosques and breath-taking scenery, has seen a huge drop in visitor numbers. According to the ministry of tourism, the pre-pandemic level of tourism will not return for another ten years.’ Morocco as a whole lost 7 billion dollars in tourism revenue last year. Now, it’s finding new ways to draw tourists back in.
