Fairbourne: A blighted village

The winter of 2019-20 has seen widespread flooding around the UK, so PM is looking in detail at how we adapt to a future in which climate change may make it more frequent and more severe.

We're focusing on the village of Fairbourne in Wales, which is due to be "decommissioned" by 2054 at the latest. That means everyone will have to move, though nobody knows where and who will pay. It鈥檚 an extreme example but raises big questions about policies to adapt to climate change.

Our reporter Tom Baker has been spending time in Fairbourne over the winter; in the first report we heard how uncertainty about the future is causing anger and distress among the residents.

In part two, how are blight and plunging property prices affecting village life?
