'This tree is part of my life story - I am an insignificant bit of its life story'
PM is making 2020 the year of the tree - no reason, other than that they provide shade in the heat, cover from rain in the storms, joy in our urban environments, they provide shape to the countryside, wood for our homes, and they soak up atmospheric carbon.
To begin our series we wanted to hear from one of their greatest supporters, the broadcaster, naturalist and campaigner Chris Packham. Evan Davis went to the New Forest for a walk with him.
