
American Gods star: Whitewashing is not an issue
The star of American Gods has told 5 live whitewashing is 'not an issue' in the new adaptation.
Ricky Whittle said 'people were worried' about whitewashing but the characters have been 'cast as they are in the book', which was written by Neil Gaiman.
Whittle, who has previously starred in Hollyoaks and Strictly Come Dancing, told 5 live's Sarah Brett he had a five month audition process to get the part of Shadow Moon, which he describes as "incredible"
On the casting process for Shadow Moon he said: "This was a worldwide search. They really wanted to make sure they got everything right."
