Perry and McDonald on rail strikes and safety
Conservative MP Claire Perry, who resigned as rail minister in July, and shadow transport secretary Andy McDonald looked at safety concerns surrounding driver-only operated trains.
They debated the role of the unions in the ongoing strikes affecting Southern Rail services and how the government had responded to the industrial dispute. The MPs also discussed whether rail franchises should be nationalised.
