Hundreds of patients in Leicester are still seeking answers, after their local GP practice announced it was closing. Tonight, those who use Queens Road Medical Centre will have an opportunity to put their questions to health bosses, at a meeting being held at the University of Leicester. Lecture rooms were hired after previous meeting ended up well over capacity. It's claimed around two thousand people are currently looked after by Dr Lenten. 麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Bridget Blair has been finding out why so many are sorry to see him go.
Also, a tale with a happy ending. Gog the Dog has been found safe and well. The Yorkshire Terrier's went missing a fortnight ago after her owner briefly left her parked up in a baby buggy outside Leicester's Haymarket Shopping Centre while she popped inside. Gog's mysterious disappearance sparked a widespread search and a social media campaign to reunite her with her owner. Yesterday, working from a tip-off, the police retrieved Gog from a house in Leicester.Her emotional owner Monti Short spoke to 麻豆社 Radio Leicester soon after.
And, preparing for a birthday bash always involves getting the vacuum out and doing a bit of a tidy up. But what lengths would you go to for the Queen? With her majesty's 90th birthday being celebrated this year, a national campaign's been launched across Britain to "clean for the Queen". It's being organised by Keep Britain Tidy, who are asking communities to sign up across the UK. 麻豆社 Radio Leicester's Jo Hollis has been finding out how people are preparing to play their part in North West Leicestershire.
