I can beat 47 second barrier says freestyle champion Magnussen
World champion James Magnussen has told 麻豆社 Extra Time about his dream of beating the 47 second barrier for 100m freestyle.
The record has only been broken by swimmers wearing so called 鈥渟uper-suits鈥 which contain a polyurethane layer and were said to offer less drag than tradition suits. They were banned in 2010.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a really important goal of mine to get under that barrier and prove that it is possible with the human body not with the super-suit.鈥
