Is Britain's customer service as good as it should be?

David FitzGerald with your views on the day's big stories including Devon at One.

Today Fitz looks at the state of our tourist industry and asks if our customer service is up to scratch.

A plan has been launched today to increase the number of foreign visitors to holiday here in Devon and the rest of the UK.

The consultation by VisitBritain aims to encourage 40 million visitors to the country by 2020 - building on Britain's successful hosting of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Reaching that figure would deliver 拢8.7billion additional foreign exchange earnings at today's prices, and support more than 200,000 additional jobs.

But do we do enough to make our guests feel welcome? Could we take a leaf out of America's book and be a bit more subservient - "Have a nice day y'all".

Fitz's question today is this - "Is our 'customer service' as good as it should be?"
