Alternative vote system
Australia uses the Alternative Vote system to elect its MPs. An Australian member of a water polo team helps his team-mates understand the system, when they're asked to vote for their choice of swimwear for next season. A graphic then shows what the House of Commons would look like if MPs were elected using the alternative vote system (based on the results of the 2005 General Elections).
