Libraries, Liberty Belle and Time Team

Library campaigners give their reaction to the county council's latest plans. A restored WWII bomber with strong links to Suffolk crashes in the US. And TV's Time Team is in Dunwich.

There's been a mixed reaction from campaigners to the latest plans for Suffolk's library service. It now seems all of the libraries will be run by a new community interest company instead of dividing them into county-run and community-run libraries. We hear from campaigners and the councillor in charge of the service, Judy Terry.

A Flying Fortress bomber with connections to Suffolk has crashed in the United States. The plane had been restored by a Don Brookes whose father had been based in Suffolk during WWII. 8 Airforce historian Clive Stevens explains why the plane was important to Suffolk.

TV's Time Team has come to Suffolk. They'll be digging at monastic sites in Dunwich for the next three days. Up to 50 crew members are involved and they've been attracting a lot of attention. Waveney reporter Guy Campbell went along to join the visitors and fans of the show.
