Pig farmers, primary schools and Sinbad the monkey
Pig farmers urge consumers to buy British, the government announces plans for failing primary schools and a stowaway monkey is rescued at the port of Felixstowe.
Rising wheat prices means pig farmers' profits are being squeezed. Alistair Butler who has a pig farm at Halesworth tells us how he's been affected and we hear from the Conservative MP for Waveney, Peter Aldous.
The government is to take 200 failing primary schools in England out of local authority control and transformed into academies, under the leadership of private sponsors. Our political correspondent, Paul Rowley, explains the plans while Kevin Bullock, headteacher at Fordham Primary School in Suffolk gives his reaction.
A stowaway monkey, found on a ship heading from Malaysia to Felixstowe, has been found a new home. Sinbad the macaque was picked up by Suffolk Trading Standards, after it was reported onboard the container ship. Sinbad has now been taken to a monkey sanctuary in South Wales.
