Musical Treasures of the Pitt Rivers

A world of music in Oxfordshire with Marcos.

Meet Malcolm Orgee, an Oxfordshire gardener in love with Cuba, a country that inspires his percussion work on the quinto and cajon. Marcos went to hear all about Malcolm's adventures.

Rich Ward visits the Pitt Rivers Museum to discover some of the musical treasures of the museum's collection - in the company of researcher and ethnomusicologist Dr Noel Lobley.

Also - Bicester-based guitarist Gordon Dunn, from the National Youth Guitar Ensemble, tells Global Echoes how world music has influenced his interpretation of the classical repetoire.

All that plus Cubanismo from the Congo in the fifties, the Luk Thung Underground and the Raga Des from Baluji Shrivastav.
