Lo C貌r de la Plana and the Sattriya Tradition of Assam

A world of music in Oxfordshire with Marcos.

Rich Ward meets Oxford ethnomusicologist and classical dance performer Menaka PP Bora to gain insight into the Sattriya tradition all the way from North-East India's ancient working monasteries - and introduces us to some of Menaka's own incredible recordings.

Liz Green travels to Chipping Norton in search of the unique sound and language of Marseille in the company of the band Lo C貌r de la Plana who demonstrate their rich choral tradition accompanied by exotic percussive instruments.

With music from the inventor of salsa muffin Sergent Garcia, the flamenco legend Diego Carrasco, the distinctive sound of Seprewa Kasa from Ghana, and a raga from Shafat Ali Khan.
