Toyota - the world's biggest car company - is in crisis, accused of putting the public at risk by selling cars that could potentially accelerate out of control.

The company's president has apologised in public and has admitted - in the United State鈥檚 Congress - that the company's rate of growth in the last few years may have been too fast.

Toyota is a company that has been respected for many years, for its core principles and its production methods. But its reputation is now badly damaged.
