Gary Davies is sitting in for Vernon Kay throughout the next three weeks. AND this week he’ll be joined by Actor, Alison Steadman who’ll be taking us on her ten-song musical journey in this week’s omnibus edition of Tracks of My Years.
One of the best actors this country has produced, Alison has had a long and varied career, but in recent years is probably best known as ‘Pam-el-a’ in Gavin & Stacey.
She became interested in performance at a young age and as a teenager she snuck off to see the Beatles perform live at the Cavern Club. As a young actress she appeared in seminal plays written by her former husband Mike Leigh.
From Beverly in ‘Abigail’s Party’ to Gavin’s mum Pam in Gavin & Stacey, Alison’s versatile range has made her one of the most loved British actors on stage and on screen. Now she's appearing in the final ever episode of Gavin & Stacey, which is on Â鶹Éç 1 on Christmas Day. Her first choice is an absolute beauty it’s Doris Day and Move Over Darling.
To listen on most smart speakers just say “ask Â鶹Éç Sounds to play Tracks of My Years".
