The 麻豆社's Eastern Europe correspondent Sarah Rainsford has been meeting some of Ukraine's partisans, the shadow army fighting to free Kherson in Southern Ukraine.
When Russian forces invaded Kherson in southern Ukraine at the very start of the war, crowds poured onto the streets in protest. Their defiance in the face of armed troops became a symbol of Ukraine's spirit of resistance, until the soldiers cleared the streets and began detaining anyone they suspected of supporting Ukraine. Many people have since fled the region for safety. But the resistance to Russia's occupation didn't die, it moved underground. Our Eastern Europe correspondent Sarah Rainsford has been meeting some of Ukraine's partisans, the shadow army fighting to free Kherson.
