An exclusive 30 minute mix from London based producer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Marc, who's just released his new album Glass Effect. This is followed by a 30 minute mix from Tom himself.
Marc, the alias of Neil Charles, came up studying classical double bass at the prestigious Trinity College of Music in London. This led to him becoming a player in the UK jazz renaissance, including his trio Zed-U with Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming) and Tom Skinner (Sons of Kemet, The Smile). With Zed-U, Marc鈥檚 passion for electronic music began to develop. He and Hutchings would frequent London nightclubs together, soaking in the sounds of garage, broken beat and drum鈥檔鈥檅ass.
His new album draws on all of these influences and unifies the entirety of his musical journey.
