Explore the outer reaches of sound with the Freak Zone, 6 Music's experimental music show, In this episode there's music from Blue Bendy, Nurse With Wound, Bolt Thrower and Beverly Glenn Copeland. The Freak Zone Featured Album is the beautiful 'Have One On Me', by Joanna Newsom. The 18 track, triple LP release celebrated it's 10 year anniversary in 2020 and saw a slew of outlets re-appraising or at least re-configuring their opinions on the record. From the development of Newsom's vocal style to the inclusion of instruments like the tambura, oboe and even a kora, there's a lot to unpack across the album, but overall it's a beautiful, big and ultimately rewarding record, and one we definitely recommend you listen to.
