More and more of us are living the single life, and loving it. More than half of 25-39 year-olds are single in the UK (ONS). Singleness is increasing for every age group. Florence Given is a young artist whose hugely popular sassy designs led to her working with Rita Ora and brought her hundreds of thousands of followers on instagram. Florence explains the story behind her ‘Dump Him’ slogan T-shirts, loved by celebs and influencers alike, and how her message to young women is all about being comfortable in your own skin, without a partner.
Kate Wharton, the Vicar of Roby in Liverpool, takes us back to November 2017 where she took vows to remain single in front of family and friends at Liverpool cathedral. She tells Kate and Jason why her 'BeLOVED' ceremony was the happiest day of her life and how the Church has responded to her single calling.
Sadia Azmat is a Muslim comedian and the host of Â鶹Éç Sounds podcast 'No Country For Young Women'. She's been trying to embrace her single status in a Radio 2 documentary for Faith In The World week. She's joined by other young people of faith in the studio for our early morning party, to chat about why more and more of us are embracing life on our own.
Best-selling poet Charly Cox reads her exclusive poem, written especially for Faith in the World Week - 'Broken Abacus' - all about her experience of dating today.
