Exclusive - UK government department tells Nolan Show the NI government decided not to introduce holiday pay caps for overtime.
Day 3 of the Nolan Show investigating a potential exposure of hundreds of millions of pounds of back dated holiday pay to workers. If they weren't paid properly, a recent court ruling has determined workers can go back and claim for up to 20 years of holiday pay that they were entitled to. The Westminster government rushed through legislation within weeks, to cap the exposure in England and Wales to 2 years. We promised we would dig into this story for you - and here are today's revelations: the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills for the UK have told this programme they had detailed discussions with its equivalent department in NI. Where are the minutes? What was said? And why did Stephen Farry not do the same? He is remaining tight lipped. We can also reveal to you today that the Department has told this programme it was the NI government who decided not to introduce similar legislation. Stephen got reaction from TUV leader Jim Allister, DUP MLA Jim Wells and commentator Newton Emerson.
Also on the programme, Sammy Wilson MP reveals DUP boycott the Nolan Show as it is the 'best way of hurting him' - Stephen got reaction from Irish News journalist Allison Morris.
